Rohit Sharma, MD, MBA, FACS, is a surgical oncologist and Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Marshfield Clinic Health System, where he leads multiple clinical, research, and innovation initiatives. In April 2025, Dr. Sharma and his team became the first in the Midwest to successfully perform Pressurized Intraperitoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC), establishing Marshfield Clinic as a regional leader in advanced therapies for peritoneal surface malignancies.

Dr. Sharma specializes in complex oncologic surgery, including peritoneal surface malignancies, cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC, melanoma, sarcoma, and gastrointestinal cancers. He has developed and led multiple multidisciplinary programs, pioneered novel intraoperative imaging applications, and serves as principal investigator on numerous national and international clinical trials.

With more than a decade of academic, clinical, and research leadership—including appointments at the University of Wisconsin and prior training at Roswell Park Cancer Institute—Dr. Sharma is committed to expanding access to cutting‑edge cancer care and improving outcomes for patients with advanced malignancies.
